Smart Gifts For The Pets in Your Life
If you give a holiday gift to your dog or cat, you’re not alone. The American Pet Products Association surveyed pet owners and found that more than 50 percent of dog owners and 38 percent of cat owners buy their four-legged family members gifts for Christmas or Hanukkah. And given the role pets play in our lives today, holiday gift-giving will most likely continue to include our furry companions.
The majority of parents spend $10 to $25 on holiday pet gifts, according to a 2015 survey of Vetstreet.com dog and cat owners, with only a small percentage of pet parents spending more than $50 on their furry friends’ gifts. Food and treats, followed closely by toys, are the most popular gift types for both dogs and cats.
To help make this year’s gift shopping easier for all pet gift-givers, we’ve found some great options, no matter what your budget. (Note: A product being included in the list does not imply endorsement by Diamond Pet Foods.)
