Prostate cancer treatment for dogs may help men who suffer from this type of cancer
University of Missouri researchers have shown positive results treating dogs with prostate cancer with radioactive gold nanoparticles. This treatment has previously shown effectiveness in mice, but this is the first trial in dogs. This may lead to FDA approval for clinical trials in men suffering from the cancer. Isolating the treatment right to the location of the tumor is beneficial because it eliminates the need for chemotherapy and its side effects. Read more about this exciting research here:
