Adopt a Dog in October
October is National Adopt-a-Dog and Adopt-a-Shelter-Dog month. If you are thinking of adding a new pet into your household, consider adopting a pet from the local animal shelter. These pets may not be the specific breed that you had in mind, but they will make wonderful pets just the same. If you are looking for a volunteer opportunity, contact your local shelter to see if you can lend a hand next month, helping to join homeless pets with new families.
